TRADEMARK USE & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY POLICY
This policy outlines the rights, responsibilities, and restrictions related to the use of trademarks owned by the Abaca Group, covering all our restaurant, food service, hotel, and resort brands. It is intended for public reference and serves as a formal notice to external parties.
Scope: This policy applies to all external parties, including media, suppliers, partners, and the general public. It also includes internal guidance for our departments, and affiliates, covering the use of all registered and pending trademarks filed with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO).
1. Legal Ownership and Rights
All logos, names, taglines, and brand marks associated with our group are registered trademarks owned by the Abaca Group and protected under Philippine law. These trademarks represent the identity, quality, and reputation of our brands and are to be used only with express written permission.
Trademark rights are earned through proper use and protected through registration. Our legal team is the only entity authorized to register, maintain, or enforce these trademarks.
Use of our trademarks without authorization may constitute trademark infringement, unfair competition, and/or brand dilution, and we reserve the right to pursue legal action where necessary.

2. External Use Warning & Guidelines
We protect our trademarks to ensure our brands remain trusted and recognizable as the strength of a brand lies in how it is used and recognized. Unauthorized use, copying, imitation, reproduction, or any form of misuse of our registered trademarks, logos, or brand assets—whether in digital, print, packaging, or any other format—is strictly prohibited and will be met with immediate legal action.
The Abaca Group will vigorously enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law. This includes filing criminal, civil, and administrative actions against individuals or entities found to be infringing, misrepresenting, or exploiting our registered marks. You may not use any of our trademarks without prior written approval.
You may NOT:
- Use our marks or logos in your own product, brand, service, or event.
- Combine, modify, or alter any of our trademarks.
- Register or use similar names, marks, or domain names.
- Use our trademarks in a misleading, defamatory, or commercial exploitation context.
- Imply any partnership, endorsement, or affiliation without consent.
You MAY, with written permission:
- Refer to our brand names factually when describing our services.
- Display approved logos in press or partnership materials, with correct attribution.

All permitted use must follow brand guidelines, proper spelling, and include this attribution: "[Trademarked Name] is a registered trademark of The Abaca Group, registered in the Philippines."
3. Internal Use Guidelines
Internal departments and brand teams must:

- Submit all designs for approval to the legal or branding team.
- Follow strict visual standards (correct logos, spacing, color codes).
- Avoid unauthorized printing, co-branding, or adaptation.
Only licensed or approved vendors may produce materials bearing our trademarks.
