Who we are
The Abaca Group was born from a singular vision: that true hospitality is both an art and a commitment. In 2006, industry pioneers Chef Jason and Anna Hyatt, in collaboration with internationally recognized business leader Marc Compagnon, brought that vision to life with the opening of the acclaimed Abaca Boutique Resort in Mactan, Cebu. What began as a single destination has since grown into a celebrated collection of restaurants, cafés, catering services, and hotels—recognized across the Philippines and beyond.
What sets us apart is not just scale, but soul. Every concept we create reflects our passion for craftsmanship, our belief in exceptional service, and our drive to elevate the everyday. Today, The Abaca Group operates more than 35 locations and employs nearly 700 dedicated professionals. From luxury resorts to award-winning food brands, we are building a legacy of hospitality that is authentic, ambitious, and unwavering in its pursuit of excellence.
Now under the leadership of Chefs Patrick Corpuz and Jason Hyatt, The Abaca Group is charting an exciting new chapter—expanding to Manila with thoughtfully crafted restaurant concepts and future hotel projects.
